Bulk Edit Privacy Policy

Bulk Edit (bulk-edit.tymyersmedia.com) is a tool operated by Ty Myers Media LLC that lets coaching clients find and replace text across their own YouTube video descriptions. This policy explains exactly how Bulk Edit accesses, uses, stores, shares, retains, and deletes Google user data.

Google user data we access

When you connect your YouTube account, Bulk Edit requests the single YouTube Data API scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl. Through that scope it accesses only the following Google user data:

• Your YouTube channel ID, channel name, and channel thumbnail (to identify the connected account)
• The list of videos on your channel
• For each video you choose to edit: its title, description, tags, and category (YouTube requires the full snippet to be sent back unchanged when a description is updated)

Bulk Edit does not access your viewers, comments, subscribers, watch history, analytics, payments, or any data beyond what is listed above.

How we use the data

• Channel name and thumbnail are displayed so you can confirm the correct account is connected
• The video list and video metadata are read so the tool can show you which descriptions contain your search text and preview the proposed changes
• When you click Apply, Bulk Edit updates the description field of the videos you selected, and only the description field. Titles, tags, and categories are read solely so they can be written back unchanged. No data is used for advertising, profiling, or to develop, improve, or train any AI or machine learning models

How we share the data

We do not sell, rent, transfer, or disclose your Google user data to any third party. The data is sent only between your browser, Bulk Edit's server, and Google's own YouTube APIs in order to provide the feature you requested. The only infrastructure provider involved is Cloudflare, which hosts the application and its storage on our behalf and is not permitted to use the data for any other purpose. Bulk Edit's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we store and protect the data

• Your Google OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored in Cloudflare KV. They are decrypted only in memory at the moment an API request is made on your behalf
• Your job history, including a before and after snapshot of each edited description, is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database so an edit can be recovered if something goes wrong
• All traffic is served over HTTPS (TLS). Access to the stored data is restricted to Ty Myers Media LLC and the encryption keys and secrets are held only as server-side secrets, never exposed to the browser

How long we keep the data, and how to delete it

• OAuth tokens: kept only while your account is connected. Clicking Disconnect inside the tool deletes your stored tokens immediately. You can also revoke access at any time from your Google account permissions page
• Job history and description snapshots: retained so you can recover a past edit, until you ask us to delete them. To request deletion of your job history, email ty@tymyersmedia.com from the address associated with your account and we will permanently delete it within 30 days
